Christina Dizon is a Yoga and Movement Instructor based in Toronto and has over 10,000 hours of Teaching Experience ranging from Kids Yoga to Seniors Yoga, large Group Training Classes to private one on one rehabilitation sessions. She has been teaching since 2012 helping people of all life stages and levels get to their most optimal self.
Specializing in Vinyasa and Hatha, she is the founder of Empowware Yoga, a brand of yoga that sheds light on empowering one through self-awareness.
A yoga practitioner for 17 years, an instructor for 11 - Christina shares her own practice with her students in helping them develop full range of motion and top notch physical alignment. She modifies her classes to challenge, accommodate, and create an exciting and fun environment for her students.
Her teaching offerings include: Yoga, Boot Camp, Spin, Booty & Abs, Core Strength, HIIT and Body Sculpt. She studied Physical Education and Health at the University of Toronto and is Schwinn Spin Certified, and went to Yoga Tree for her YTT250. Her main teacher however, was Lori Kirwan - a teacher she followed for 5 years at Extreme Fitness gyms, committing to 5-10 classes a week before becoming certified.
Christina is a private and corporate fitness and yoga instructor: some of her corporate collaborations have been with CBC, Teachers at Crescent School, Deloitte Recharge, Invesco Investments, and has also taught for Nordstrom, Groupby, Ceridian, Scotiabank Digital Factory, Templeton Investments, Jennesen and HOOPP. She also founded the Kids Yoga Program for the Star Entertainment Arts School for Kids in 2019.
From 2012- 2020, she offered public classes at Toronto gyms: LA Fitness and Wynn Fitness. Since COVID, she now only offers private & semi-private sessions at her boutique studios in the Upper Beaches & Port Union, Toronto and in home / outdoor services. She also offers Teacher & Trainer Mentoring - sharing her expertise with new teachers.
In 2013, she created Karma Beach Yoga Sundays where class funds are donated to various charities. DIZONFIT has run these events for the Toronto Alzheimer's Society, DEKPOR, Save the Dogs Rescue, Black Lives Matter Toronto, The Indian Residential School Survivors Society & The Donna Tinker Patient Room.
In the summer, Day Retreats in Toronto's Glen Manor Ravine and Kew Balmy Beach is offered for a day of meditation and yoga. When not instructing or teaching, Christina can be found on the sand with her Pomeranians Rudy & Ella and her newborn son, Wolf.

Experiencing transformative benefits, she pursued YTT to share this healing practice, especially understanding the challenges of living with pain.
Modified practices allowed her to start anew, and she’s passionate about helping others find their own yoga journey. What draws Josephine to yoga is its ability to manage stress, develop a better mind-body connection, and contribute to overall physical and mental well-being.
